Angela’s first horse with Oliver was Pepper Anne, who Oliver bought at the end of 2010 and started campaigning in 2011. She now owns an impressive string, ranging from top level to youngsters.
Why eventing? I just got hooked, I love it all. The people are lovely, generous and help each other, and I have very good friends in the sport.
Why Oliver? I’ve loved eventing for a long time, but I love it more with Oliver. He’s teaching me to be competitive – my challenge for 2014 is to collect my prizes! I’m shy and have avoided doing this so far…
Oliver and I are both from Yorkshire. I’ve known him a long time and we speak the same language; he’s very thoughtful and interested in what I think. He never puts any pressure on me – with possible new horses I like to watch for a while, I don’t jump straight in.
I also get on very well with Karyn and Oliver’s parents. It’s all going from strength to strength.
