Oliver posted four top 4 finishes at Kelsall Hill, with Arklow Puissance’s dressage score completion giving him a novice runner up spot. Arklow Puissance has not finished out of the top 10 in any of his eight runs this season.
But for a rail down, Crumlinpark Genie would have bagged a win but, as things were, slipped down to third place, a position matched by K Gondolat, a first outing for Oliver on the gelding.
Miss Cooley was the other ride in the ribbons, finishing fourth in an open novice, the only horse in the section to make the cross country optimum time.
