It wasn’t Oliver’s Burghley this year, with both horses falling on the cross country course. Swallow Springs had been lying in fifth after dressage, Tregilder ninth.
Tregilder was flying and up on the clock after a super round but pecked on landing at the second to last, while Swallow Springs caught a leg in the first water complex.
Both horses are happy and healthy, tucked up at home. A gutting weekend for both horses, their owners and connections who have been so supportive and excited about a trip to Burghley.
