Oliver came within a breath of winning his first Bramham CCI3* title, MHS King Joules leading the dressage and coming home clear inside the time across country.
Disappointingly, despite having a rail in hand, two fell and Oliver dropped to third place. Samuel Thomas, however, also made it in to the top 10, climbing from 37th after dressage to 9th with a clean sheet across the jumping phases.
In the ERMCIC3* Noteworthy picked up 11 cross country penalties for breaking a frangible pin, otherwise jumping clear, but giving Oliver a bloody nose for his efforts. They finished 15th.
