The babies were up first, with Ballaghmore Class posting a win, Killossery Cooley taking a runner up spot, Andrew Cawthray’s new purchase Red Andes Fanfare 4th and Cooley Q 6th. Cooley SRS then won a novice at his first attempt and Brucester Rooster jumping like a stag for 5th, despite Oliver running slowly. The weather was atrocious but the horses all coped well in the conditions.
Unbelievably the organisers kept the show going on Sunday and ODT Ghareeb jumped brilliantly out of the mud for a well deserved win. Armada also jumped beautifully to place 5th – hampered by a slight navigational error in the show jumping by Oliver. Neo de Brueil and Pepper Anne also ran well, the little mare jumping neatly but hating the mud.
